Project 1- Case Study Paper
In this project, I am required to conduct a research on a chosen site which in this case, I picked the Sekeping Serendah. Then I am required to write a study paper on it with a research title. My research title is Passive Cooling Design of Sekeping Serendah and its Impacts on Thermal Comfort Level. From this project, I have analysed and discussed in depth on the selected research area based on the selected building, within the framework of sustainable design. Besides, I have identified significant elements of sustainable design through investigation into the building. Lastly, I am able to produce, orally and in writing, a critical interpretation of sustainable design of the selected building.
Asian Architecture
Project 2- Documentation Study
For this project, me and groupmates are required to choose one street with historical significant and the street that we have choosen is Jalan Hang Jebat (Jonker Walk), Malacca. Then, we have to create a photobook out of it. Throughout this project, I am able to describe the historical development of the main strands of Asian Architecture. Then, I am able to identify a broad range of issues related to the historical and chronological transition of Asian Architectural History. Last but not least, I am able to interpret architectural language in relation to the development of Asian Architecture and urbanism based on theme of tradition, modernity and globalization.
