Part 2- Analysis presentation board

For this project, I am instructed to provide an in depth analysis of the building that has been chosen which is York Minster. All the informations that have been obtained in project 1 will be used in the analysis. The analysis should include plan, section, elevation of the building as well as my personal analysis of the building.

 

 

Part 3-Model

For part 3, I have to make a scale model of York Minster with the help of my group members. The model should include the most special part of the building. As for York Minster, me and my group members have decided to do the cross-section of the chapter house and the main building.

 

 

Part 4-Verbal Presentation

Me and my group members are required to do a verbal presentation one on one with our lecturer. Each of us will have to talk about what we understand about York Minster with the help of our own analysis presentation board.

 

Final thought

Throughout this project, I have been able to recognize and recall appropriate verbal architectural vocabulary when referring to building types, styles and periods. Moreover, I have been able to exemplify and classify the sequence of historical periods and how they are represented architecturally too. Next, I have produced building analysis  which document intentions, concepts, patterns, disciplines, architectural language and contextual relationships. Last but not least, I have learned the ways to work effectively as a team.
